Beauty, freshness, excitement, wonder … when combined, these words describe the awakening of a new spring season, a new bundle of joy, a new family of four. The trees were gently swaying, the flowers were blooming, and the sun was shining on an absolutely beautiful spring morning. We had the whole place to ourselves and couldn’t wait to explore.

When I last saw this family, the sweet mama asked me to focus on capturing them as a family of three. Although they were expecting another baby, they wanted to continue to shower their first baby with love in anticipation of welcoming their second baby. From collecting rocks to going on an adventure along the river to finding huge leaves, we had so much fun bringing out the sweet smiles of their cutie pie. At the end of the session, the mama told me that she would be hearing from me once the baby was born since their sweet daughter “doesn’t smile for anyone like she smiles for you.”

When I heard from the mama recently, she shared the exciting news that their baby was born and they wanted me to capture their new family of four. After selecting an absolutely beautiful location, Brookside Gardens, we arrived at the location and once again embarked on a photo session that went with the flow as we looked at flowers, explored the grounds, and brought out the smiles of the new big sister and her new best friend.
