Last fall, I met this cute family and their two pups. We had such a fun time getting to know each other as I took their photographs in Elkridge, Maryland. I was so excited to see her name pop up in my email in October asking for another photo session in their neck of the woods. The sweet mama requested a photo session that didn’t necessarily have to be fall-themed. So, I set out on a mission to find a beautiful location for their mini photo session.

After searching around on Google maps and Googling various parks in their zip code area, I stumbled across this beautiful spot in Ellicott City, Maryland. I hopped in the car with my daughter and embarked on a fun adventure. After a small hike, we came across a bank along the river … and my jaw just about hit the ground. I immediately took a photo, sent it to my husband, and waited for his reaction: Beautiful!

I knew that we stumbled across quite a gem. When I arrived home, I emailed the sweet mama and asked if her family was up for a small hike … and then crossed my fingers hoping she would say, “Yes.” I shared the photo with her and she said, “Looks beautiful! And they love throwing rocks into the water so that would be a perfect place to do it!”

We met at the location, hiked down the trail with their two pups, and had a fun mini photo session that was filled with smiles, rocks, dances, good times, and all sorts of beauty.
