Flowy dresses + beautiful and fun children + loving parents + a hidden lake + golden hour = Pure Magic.
When chatting with this sweet mama about locations, she mentioned something about water. Now, there is hardly any water in the Frederick area … or at least I thought there wasn’t until I researched and stumbled across this small and peaceful lake nestled in the woods. During a scouting trip, I visited this location and I knew it would be perfect for this family. Little did I know just how magical it would actually be during their photo session.
The weekend of their photo session was when the chill of fall finally hit the air. From walking along the water’s edge to finding our way through the woods as we chased the beautiful light and braved the chilly weather, this family was patient, kind, fun-loving, and adventurous. And, wow, did the golden hour ever deliver. I think it’s fair to say that this photo session is the definition of why photographers and families love the golden hour.
