Meeting this local family, who moved to the area a few years ago, was such a joy. When the Mom said that she wanted a fall-themed mini session for the photos of her sons, I began scouting for locations that would be a perfect fit … and that’s when I came across the most beautiful tree-lined road on a Frederick area battlefield. Upon discovering the road, my jaw just about hit the ground. I immediately pulled over, took a few photos, and then emailed the Mom to let her know that I pretty much hit the jackpot for her mini session. I couldn’t wait for the mini session to begin.

The boys were so cute as they ran up and down the road. We had races during the photo session, looked at cows, took in the beauty of the fall leaves, found a few fuzzy caterpillars, talked about Halloween and costumes, and then celebrated with pumpkin cookies at the end of the mini photo session. I had so much fun getting to know this family, as well as photographing the boys and even sneaking Mom and Dad in a few of the photos. Here’s a peek at some of the photos from the session.
